The town of Strasbourg is a city of the Low-Rhine of approximately
713.382 inhabitants, in Alsace. It is without any doubt one of the
most beautiful towns of Europe. With proof, all its downtown area was
classified world inheritance by UNESCO. Town of history, gastronomy,
culture but especially seat of the Council of Europe and of the
European Parliament, Strasbourg, it is in fact the capital of Europe.
Strasbourg is a city located at the Franco-German border. It has a

author of the plans of the Center Beaubourg in Paris, the British
Richard Rogers, who conceived it. Opened in 1995, the Palate shelters

proposes conferences specialized for the public on the question of the
human rights.
And then, it there also has the European Parliament, builds in 1999.
One owes his architecture in Architecture Europe studio, and its
hemicycle of a capacity of 750 people accomodates the sessions of the
Parliament of Europe, every month. The various components of this
building are based on an alliance between the ellipse and the circle.
They include/understand a building in the shape of wing from where the
cupola of the hemicycle emerges, a tower of 60 meters sheltering more
than one thousand of offices which are distributed in 17 levels as
well as spaces of communication, work and relaxation. The buildings of
the European Parliament also have three streets intern of which a
wintergarden and a forest of will philodendrons.
Lastly, Strasbourg is also the seat many great French establishments
such as the National and University Library, the national Theatre, the
Opera of the Rhine. This cultural side of Strasbourg in fact also a
student's city with its international university and its schools
where more than 100 nationalities are represented there.
The international and multi-cultural side of Strasbourg also make an
interesting city of it in the field of the gastronomy. Indeed, one
can, without being mistaken, to say that the gastronomy of Strasbourg
is a culture which has many centuries of tradition behind it. But it
is also a gastronomy unceasingly renewed by the dynamism and the
talent of its large cooks. Among the traditional specialities that the
visitors appreciate in Strasbourg, one can for example quote the
beackeoffe, sauerkraut, the foie gras, pie-chart flambe or the
spaetzle. They are in particular the user-friendly taverns with the
cordial atmosphere, called the "winstubs" which propose especially
these traditional specialities. But the city also counts hundreds of
breweries and restaurants which will make you benefit from all the
kitchens of the world...
