Old capital of Velay, Puy-in-Velay is the chief town of department of
Haute-Loire, in the Auvergne area. Puy-in-Velay account approximately
19.300 inhabitants, who are called Ponots or Aniciens. The city is
also in the center of an agglomeration of 60 000 inhabitants. It is an
extraordinary place where the volcanic relief and the city cohabit in
perfect harmony. It acts indeed of a city with well preserved
buildings, a cultural and sporting crossroads important, but also of

lenses of Puy. It acts of a rather extraordinary product because it is
the first green vegetable to profit from label AOC (Controlled Label
of origin). It is produced on the top-plates of Velay.
