Situation
The lodging is located at the center of the natural reserve surrounded by 3 mountainous solid masses: the Black Mountain, Mounts of Lacaune and Mounts of Espinouse. The climax of the sector is with meadows of 1200m. The house is surrounded by the forest of Somail (oaks beeches fir trees) it is near the 4 lakes, closest the lake to Raviège and the lake of the Peyres Saints being to 5 km. Many farms are in the surroundings with bovine breedings (calf under the mother) and sheep (ewe for cheese of Roquefort). Still wild nature shelters many animals: birds and rabbits abound, but it is not rare to see moufflons and roe-deers; hunters and fishermen appreciate the wild boars, the trouts and crayfish. In the middle of an exceptional preserved environment, the regional natural reserve of High Languedoc offers a variety of landscapes and vegetation out of the commun run. The national forests of Somail and Espinouse represent on more than 10000 hectares a single landscape mosaic. They play a paramount part in the protection of the grounds and the safeguarding of the quality of water major element of the economy of the area: water of the “Roucous Mount” and “Salvetat”. Some gastronomical specialities accompany this water by quality: calf meat, pork-butcheries, boletus, trouts, cheeses, honey…

With feet: excursions on 500km of marked out paths of which the G.R.71 and the G.R.653 which is on the way of Saint Jacques de Compostelle, paths sets of themes and botanies, possibilities of accompanied excursions (with Solher in Soulié). Gathering: mushrooms, strawberries of wood in the immediate surroundings according to the season.
WITH V.T.T. : 300km of marked out circuits is several courses various levels classified by colors.
With horse: several riding schools in the surroundings. On water: activities and water sports on the lake of Raviège (5km)
