Mill in the countryside : Milin Vian - the Roudouxière


The small mill of Roudouxière, as the Breton name suggests, is a former water mill built on a creek Brélès (pronounced "Brélèze," we are not Breles!). The property, isolated stretches of 5000 m² and is surrounded by woods where you can see deer and other wildlife (bears or wolves or however ...).

The house can accommodate 4 to 5 people. It has three bedrooms upstairs (two major 13 and 14 m² + a little), a lounge - dining room, large kitchen and a bathroom, all on 110 sqm. There is also a large shed on the side of the house to house bicycles, motorcycles ...

The town of Brela is less than 1 Km by car but much closer if we went there on foot through woods and fields. There are several restaurants (the best being that of the Moulin de Bel Air near the Roudouxière) and two cafes, one of which is bread from 7 h 00 deposit and the other in a kind of wine country in the process of extinction.

Surely the Roudouxière is the place to be in contact with nature. We provide you with a sea kayak (2 adults + 1 child) and lovers of angling can fish for trout rainbow in the gutter. Hikers can find them on the GR 34 along the Aber Ildut within 300 m and swimmers enjoy the beaches are also nearby.


One caveat, however. There must be a lot of water flowing in a mill Breton. If the cascade is very pretty, so the old fountain is also very cute, they can also be dangerous for very young children. Sensitive areas are secured by gates and laundry can be emptied, but the risk can not be totally excluded the entire length of the river.

From Brel, one can travel around the country Iroise on foot, by bike or car. The beaches are many and close (3 km Lanildut, Porspoder, Landunvez, Plouarzel ...) It is also a starting point for the island of Ushant during the summer.
Young children will enjoy the quiet beaches and shellfish, while adolescents skipping rocks Lanildut, select the tracks to the rough seas and surf;
2 golf courses less than 10 km.
It is advisable to book several weeks in advance stages of riding, sailing or surfing.

The mill is currently undergoing a major renovation and is open for rent until April.
