Pretty holiday home in the Meuse area : With its 4 bedrooms each named after one of us, La maison cendrée can comfortably accommodate 6 people.

We acquired the house in 2008 and the restoration work has meant exceptional results. A bright and airy space built around a light well and in each room we managed to retain walls built in the original “pierre de France”, a golden stone much used in the area…

You will find all the modern comforts in La maison cendrée including satellite TV, internet, Wifi, a DVD player, music system as well as a football table…

The house is very child friendly and the secluded garden offers complete peace of mind.

At lunch time and for a thoroughly relaxing day without any cooking, simply walk down the road to La Croix d’Or restaurant. La Croix d’Or serves a simple but very good 3 course meal for about €12.
An unique activity we are also able to offer is a horse-drawn carriage-ride through the woodland and countryside around Juvigny, pulled by a cheval de trait d’Ardennes, “Bill”.

For more cultural activities, visit Stenay and its beer museum or Montmédy with its lovely citadel. Verdun, site of the longest and one of the most devastating battles in the First World War is also near us as well as numerous attractions in South Belgium and in Luxembourg as we are so close to the border.
