Gite La Boucherie in the Broceliande forest : At the very doorstep of the Broceliande forest, among legends and traditions, the gite La Boucherie, welcomes visitors in a warm and convivial way.
You will stay in the former Concoret butcher's shop, from which remains the massive block still marked by the chopper falls, and some other curios! In a quiet and welcoming atmosphere with modern design, you can browse through local history books or and enjoy the complementary gift basket.
"La Boucherie" is a detached house of 452 sq. ft., newly refurbished in September 2009 and fully-equipped for 2 to 4 persons:
- Built-in kitchen opening up on to living-room (very good sofa bed that sleeps 2)
- 1 bedroom (double bed)
- Bathroom with Italian shower
- Separate toilets
- Private terrace and garden (269 sq. ft.). (It is also possible to share the owners' large garden.)
Concoret (Kon-Kored in Breton means "Valley of witches") is a small typical town of Eastern Brittany, located at the crossroads of the major sites of Arthurian legend in the Broceliande forest.
From our house, you can access many hiking footpaths and ramble through this unique countryside characterised by the red schist stone, the green of the trees and the yellow of the broom and gorse bushes. Old villages, mills, wash-houses and other traditional buildings mark will liven up your walk. Also enjoy the awesome views of the forest and the moor from several promontories. |
