Chateau de Lahitte 4 star B&B : Chez nous, chez vous: feel yourself at home !
It’s a pleasure receiving you as our guest at Château de Lahitte. The château is situated on a peaceful hillside in the Adour Valley Château de Lahitte was built in the 18 th century for the then owner, who produced wine from the vineyards that surrounded the property. The house was restored in the 20 th century, although it was no longer used as a vineyard.
It has recently been lovingly restored by the present owners and today the house is surrounded by lush parkland and gardens (once the vineyards) with many beautiful old trees., the gardens, have been lovingly landscaped by the present owners and are just the place for a walk or just for quiet contemplation.
In one of the restored outbuildings a sauna has been installed with showers and a rest room. Situated in the gardens there is also an outdoor swimming pool, both of which are for the use of guests.
On a bright day the summits of the Pyrenees are clearly visible from the garden of the Château.
The guest rooms on the first and second floors offer comfortable light and airy accommodation, each room has an ensuite bathroom with wc. Continental, so to say "full breakfast" is either served in the dining room, or in the garden under the canopy of the unusually named ‘gloriette’(a type of Open Summer House) – highly recommended on warm summer mornings. There are also sitting rooms situated on the ground floor these are available to guests. |
